Set the study window
Choose a start date, an exam or target date, your available weekdays, daily minutes, and the length of one study block. The target date itself is not scheduled.

Name the topics
Add up to 12 named topics and the number of blocks you want for each before the target date. Use names that tell you what to open when the block starts.

Review the fit
Compare requested blocks with capacity. If anything remains unscheduled, adjust time, days, block size, the target date, or the request before exporting.
Start with a realistic window
Choose the days you can actually protect for study, then decide how long one block should be. The planner uses whole blocks, so 50 available minutes with 30-minute blocks creates one block, not two. It schedules selected days from the start date up to, but not including, the target date. The date range can be up to one year.
Cornell’s Learning Strategies Center advises building a schedule that also leaves room for meals, sleep, breaks, work, and other course materials. A capacity check is useful because it makes a mismatch visible before the last few days become crowded.
Turn broad topics into useful block names
“Chemistry” may be enough for a short list, but a more specific name makes the schedule easier to act on. You might enter “Stoichiometry practice set”, “French irregular verbs”, or “Essay evidence outline”. This planner does not judge whether a topic is complete or choose a study method. It only gives the time you requested a place in the available window.

When several topics need time, the planner rotates them only while another topic still has blocks remaining. That is a simple allocation rule, not a promise about retention or exam performance. Princeton University recommends a realistic schedule with clear, specific goals for each session; use your own course guidance to decide what belongs in each block.
Use overload feedback to revise the plan
When requested blocks exceed capacity, the planner reports the number left unscheduled. Add another available day, increase daily minutes, choose a smaller block, move the target date, or request fewer blocks. None of those choices is automatically better: use your course requirements, energy, and other commitments to decide. UNC Learning Center’s finals guidance similarly recommends identifying what each exam needs and spreading that work across the time you have.
The schedule is a planning aid, not an academic assessment. It does not assess what you know, prescribe a learning method, sync with a calendar or LMS, use AI, send reminders, or change your course deadlines. Topic names, dates, and the generated plan remain in browser session storage; they are not added to URLs or sent through requests to our servers. CSV and print exports are local snapshots you choose to create.
