What is measured
Open mode starts on the first press. Timed mode counts only after Start and stops at the selected duration. Presses per second is total presses divided by elapsed browser time, so it is a practical estimate, not a laboratory measurement; browser scheduling, device input and clicking can affect it.
Counting and timing happen in the browser. The optional step-by-step flow places the selected settings and resulting metrics in its URL; it does not include the physical keystrokes themselves.
