List limits

The picker reads plain text one line at a time and ignores blank lines. The first 200 nonblank entries take part, with a maximum of 160 characters per entry. A longer line is truncated whether you type or paste it. Two identical lines remain two separate chances. If “Pizza” appears twice in a list of ten entries, that text occupies two of the ten equally likely positions.

Picking and removal

The browser uses crypto.getRandomValues to obtain the index of one remaining entry. Each entry still in the pool has the same chance on that draw. If “Remove winner” is enabled, only the selected line is removed; another identical copy remains. Without removal, the complete list stays available and the same result can appear again.

This strong browser random source is suitable for everyday choices. The picker does not provide an audit log, a reproducible seed or a fairness certificate, however. Do not use it as the sole evidence for a regulated, financial or otherwise auditable drawing.

Entries, the removal choice and the winner are not sent to our servers or added to the URL. Browser sessionStorage carries the state only between funnel pages that you explicitly open in the same tab. “Start over” clears it, and closing the tab ends the session too. The picker has no accounts, permanent saving, sharing, export or animated visual wheel.
