Draw one short, reviewed fact from a focused collection of six statements about Venus, Earth, the Sun, water and octopuses. The fact appears in this page language. Each draw is independent, so a repeat can occur.

Reviewed facts and sources
This generator deliberately uses a compact, reviewed collection rather than an open-ended stream. The six statements cover an octopus’s three hearts and blue blood, Venus’s heat and unusually long rotation, the Sun’s relative width, the water triple point, and the English origin of the name Earth.
| Subject | What the collection says | Institutional source |
|---|---|---|
| Octopuses | They have three hearts and blue blood. | Smithsonian Ocean |
| Venus | It is the hottest planet, and a rotation takes 243 Earth days while a year takes 225. | NASA Venus facts |
| Earth and the Sun | Earth is the exception to the Greek or Roman origin of the planets’ English names; the Sun is about 100 times wider than Earth. | NASA Earth facts and NASA Sun facts |
| Water | Its solid, liquid and gas phases can coexist at the triple point in thermal equilibrium. | NIST on the water triple point |
The generator selects one localized statement at a time on the server. It keeps no history, does not collect submissions and does not guarantee a non-repeating cycle. For teaching, publication or high-stakes work, open the linked source and retain the original context instead of citing this page alone.
When a short fact is useful
- A classroom prompt: start a discussion or ask learners to verify a source.
- A writing warm-up: use one fact as a small, factual constraint for a scene or explanation.
- A language exercise: compare the concise local wording with the linked source’s fuller explanation.
