Your reordered PDF is ready
Local download does not upload the source or reordered PDF. Only if you choose Create a download page is the derived PDF uploaded to our server and retained for up to 7 days. The source PDF remains local.
Change the page order of one PDF by entering the exact sequence you want. The source PDF is read in your browser and stays local. The tool creates a separate reordered PDF, so the original file is not modified. You can download the result locally without uploading it, or separately choose to create a temporary download page for the derived PDF.
How to reorder pages in a PDF
-
1
Choose the PDF
Open one unencrypted PDF of up to 20 MiB and 200 pages. The source file remains in your browser.
-
2
Review the page count
The tool checks the document locally and fills in its current order, such as 1, 2, 3, 4.
-
3
Enter the exact sequence
Use comma-separated whole page numbers. Every token must identify a page in the document.
-
4
Confirm omissions or duplicates
If the sequence leaves out or repeats pages, review and explicitly confirm that change before processing.
-
5
Create and check the result
Build the reordered PDF locally, download it and compare it with the source before discarding the original.
Exact sequence rules
Enter page numbers separated by commas. Spaces around a number are allowed, but every token must be a positive whole number within the displayed page count.
3, 1, 2creates a three-page result in that order.1, 3, 4omits page 2.1, 2, 2, 3includes page 2 twice.1-3,2.5, words, empty tokens and page numbers outside the document are invalid.
A sequence that uses every page exactly once is a simple reorder. If pages are missing or repeated, the tool asks for explicit confirmation so an accidental omission or duplicate does not silently reach the output.
Local processing and optional download page
The source PDF is loaded and rebuilt in your browser. It is not sent to our servers and is not placed in the URL. The PDF library may be downloaded before processing, but the source file is not included in that request.
Download locally saves the derived reordered PDF without uploading it. Create a download page is a separate optional action: only then is the derived PDF uploaded to a temporary result link and retained for up to 7 days. The source PDF is not uploaded. If the document is sensitive, use the local download and do not create a download page.
In the step-by-step flow, the source, sequence and local result may be kept in private storage for this browser tab for up to 30 minutes so the next step can recover them. Expired records are removed when possible, and cleanup is retried on a later visit if the browser was closed before removal.
File and browser limits
The tool accepts one PDF up to 20 MiB and 200 pages. It rejects password-protected, damaged or unreadable documents. Unusually large page dimensions or internal resource demands may also be rejected.
These limits reduce the risk of a large or unusual PDF exhausting browser memory. A file within the size and page limits can still be rejected if its internal page resources are too complex. Splitting the document into smaller PDFs may help.
What the new PDF contains
The tool creates a new document and copies the selected pages into it in the requested order. It is intended to retain the visible page content, but this is not a byte-for-byte rewrite of the original file.
Do not assume that document-level features survive. Bookmarks or outlines, interactive forms, digital signatures, attachments, scripts, comments, highlights and other annotations may be lost, detached, changed or invalidated. A digital signature on the source does not certify the newly created PDF. If any of these features matter, use a full PDF editor and verify the result there.
Before using the result
- Check that the page count matches the sequence you entered.
- Inspect page boundaries, orientation and visible content.
- Test any links, fields or annotations you expect to keep.
- Keep the source PDF until the reordered copy has been reviewed.
Reordering pages does not prove that a document is complete, authentic or legally valid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Enter positive whole page numbers separated by commas, such as 3, 1, 2. Spaces around numbers are allowed. Ranges, decimals, words, empty tokens, zero, negative values and numbers beyond the displayed page count are rejected.
Yes. Leaving out a page number omits that page, and repeating a number copies that page more than once. The tool requires explicit confirmation whenever the sequence contains an omission or duplicate.
No. The source PDF stays in your browser. Local processing, copying the sequence and downloading the reordered PDF do not upload it. Only the optional Create a download page action uploads the derived reordered PDF.
A derived PDF uploaded through Create a download page can be retained for up to 7 days at a temporary result link. The source PDF is not part of that upload.
Do not rely on them surviving. The tool creates a new PDF from copied pages; document outlines, forms, annotations, attachments and scripts may be lost or changed, and existing digital signatures can be invalidated. Use a full PDF editor when those features matter.
The PDF can be up to 20 MiB and 200 pages. Password-protected, damaged, unreadable or unusually resource-intensive documents are rejected. A page can also exceed the browser-safe dimension or resource limits.
No. It reads the source and creates a separate reordered PDF. Keep the original until you have checked the page order and any document features you need in the new file.
