Menu Maker

1 / 4

Design a clear single-page menu for a restaurant, cafe, bar, food stall, pop-up, or private event. Enter your business name and subtitle, organize dishes into sections, add descriptions and free-form prices, then adjust the style and colors while watching the preview update. Your draft stays in this browser session. Download an editable vector SVG or a high-resolution PNG, or open your browser’s print dialog when the page is ready.

How to make a restaurant menu

  1. 1

    Set the menu identity

Add the restaurant or event name, a short subtitle, and the currency prefix you want shown beside prices.

  2. 2

    Organize sections and items

Create sections such as Starters, Mains, Drinks, or Desserts, then add each item's name, optional description, and price.

  3. 3

    Style, review, and export

Choose a visual style and colors, check the live single-page preview, then download SVG or PNG or use the browser print dialog.

Make prices and choices easy to scan

A useful menu helps a guest answer three questions quickly: What is available? What does it include? What does it cost? Group related items under short, familiar headings and give every item a distinct name. Keep descriptions concise enough to scan, but include the details that genuinely affect a choice, such as the main ingredients, cooking style, portion format, or included side. Enter prices exactly as you want them displayed; the price field is free-form, so it can hold values such as “12”, “12.50”, “Market price”, or “6 / 9”.

Use the currency prefix consistently. A symbol such as $, €, or £ can work well when every price uses the same currency. For a less familiar currency, a short code such as CHF or AED may be clearer. The maker adds the prefix for display but does not calculate prices, taxes, service charges, discounts, or currency conversions.

Menu element Practical guidance Example
Restaurant name Keep it recognizable and prominent Harbor Kitchen
Subtitle Explain the menu, service, or occasion Lunch · Tuesday to Saturday
Section Group items the way guests compare them Small Plates
Item name Use the name guests should order by Charred Corn Fritters
Description Mention the most useful distinguishing details Lime crema, scallion, smoked chili
Price Type the exact display text you need 11.50

Plan for one page

This maker lays out one menu page. Begin with the sections that matter most and remove repeated or low-value wording. If the preview becomes crowded, shorten descriptions, reduce the number of items, or create a separate menu for drinks, desserts, takeout, or another service period. Do not rely on color alone to communicate dietary or allergen information.

The tool does not create nutrition values or identify allergens. Any dietary, ingredient, allergen, tax, service-charge, or pricing statement must be checked by the business before the menu is shared. Requirements differ by location and type of establishment, so confirm the rules that apply to you.

SVG is the best download when you want scalable vector artwork that another compatible design application can open. PNG is convenient for sharing or placing in another document. Browser printing uses your own print dialog, where available, and may offer a Save as PDF destination. The maker itself does not generate a PDF, add bleed or crop marks, convert colors to CMYK, or prepare a printer-specific production file. Ask a commercial printer for its required size, safe area, bleed, and color settings before ordering a large run.
