Build a flag people can recognize quickly

A flag works best when its parts are easy to distinguish from a distance. Start with a structure that gives the colors a clear job. Three horizontal bands can suggest balance and order; a diagonal split creates movement; a cross gives a strong central framework. Keep the palette limited so the field, primary color, and accent color remain visibly different.

Then decide whether the flag needs a mark at all. This maker offers a star, circle, crescent, diamond, and sun, plus a no-symbol option. A single simple mark is usually more legible than several competing details. The name and motto sit beneath the central mark, so treat them as a short identifier rather than a paragraph. Review the design at the size shown before exporting it.

Download and print with the right expectations

The flag preview uses a 3:2 proportion. The SVG download contains the generated vector artwork at 1200 × 800, while the PNG download is rendered at 2400 × 1600. Both preserve the same 3:2 composition. SVG is useful when another application can place or scale the artwork; PNG is a flat raster image for sharing or placing in another document.

The Print flag button opens the browser native print dialog. That dialog, printer, operating system, and paper settings control the printed result. If the dialog offers a save-to-PDF destination, you can use it there. This maker does not create a separate PDF download, choose a finished flag size, add bleed or crop marks, set a CMYK profile, make a fabric proof, or guarantee color, scale, seams, or manufacturing results. Print one test sheet and check the printer settings before ordering or producing anything physical.

Keep the scope simple

This is a focused flag builder, not a general graphics editor. It does not provide design templates, image uploads, logo placement, custom symbol uploads, photo editing, layer controls, image cropping, or an online print order. Use it to establish a concise layout and color direction. If the project needs a supplied logo, complex heraldry, production separations, exact dimensions, or a fabric manufacturer template, finish the artwork in suitable professional design software and ask the printer for a proof.

The design is stored in browser session storage so it can follow the four-step maker during the current browser session. The text and colors are not sent in requests to our servers or put into the page URL. Session storage can be cleared by the browser, so download the finished SVG or PNG before closing the session.
