Edit the two starting rooms or add more, up to eight. Width and depth are entered in metres and each room remains a rectangle.

What the grid and dimensions mean
The workspace is a fixed 16 m by 16 m square. Each small grid square represents 1 m, and the width and depth printed inside a room come from the values you enter. Positions describe the room rectangle’s top-left corner. Optional snapping rounds a dragged position to the nearest 0.5 m.
Those numbers are planning inputs, not measurements made by the tool. Measure the real space independently and check every value. The editor does not join walls, detect overlaps, keep an entire room inside the visible canvas, calculate wall thickness, or infer the shape of an irregular room.

Concept sketch versus construction documents
Permit and construction drawings can require far more than a room arrangement. Depending on the project and jurisdiction, that can include verified existing conditions, wall assemblies, structure, occupancy, accessibility, door and window schedules, fire-resistance information, means of egress, energy details, building services, elevations, sections, and a qualified professional’s responsibility. This maker does not calculate or review any of those subjects.
Do not use its SVG or PNG as a permit set, fabrication instruction, emergency or evacuation plan, accessibility review, structural plan, or direction to a contractor. Local rules and the details required for review vary. Have the actual site, measurements, design, and applicable requirements checked by appropriately qualified local professionals before building, buying materials, ordering fitted furniture, or submitting documents.
Privacy and exports
Room names, dimensions, positions, marker choices, and the selected room are stored in session storage in this browser tab. Funnel navigation makes normal page requests, but the private layout is not placed in the URL or sent through Livewire, uploads, AI, or an external floor-planning service. Closing the tab can clear the session, so download a file before leaving if you need a copy.
The SVG uses a 640 × 640 viewBox and can be scaled in compatible design software. The PNG is rendered locally at 1600 × 1600 pixels. Both contain the visible grid, rectangles, labels, dimensions, and selected markers; neither adds construction detail or verifies the plan.

No. The grid consistently represents one metre within the conceptual sketch, but the export is not a calibrated print sheet or professional architectural scale. Do not measure an unlabelled distance from a printed copy.
No. This version makes one square workspace with up to eight independent rectangular rooms. It does not create angled or curved rooms, stairs, levels, wall networks, windows, or joined building geometry.
Only the marker choice you made. A door marker does not specify width, swing, handing, clearance, rating, accessibility, or egress. Furniture markers are generic shapes rather than measured products.
No. The room data and exports are handled in your browser and the working project uses session storage. Normal page requests still occur between funnel steps, but the private layout is kept out of URLs and Livewire requests.
