Name the board and choose a frame shape

Give the project a useful title and choose landscape or portrait frames. The choice changes the empty image area on every card; it does not crop or transform an uploaded image.

Describe each scene

For each scene, add a title, a wide, medium, close-up or detail shot label, the visual action and any optional dialogue or notes. Add up to 12 cards.

Add reference images if useful

A scene can hold one local JPG, PNG or WebP reference image. The limit is 2 MB per image and 8 MB for the board. You can also leave frames blank for sketching.

Review and print

Read the cards in order, then use your browser print dialog to print the board or save that print view as a PDF. Check the print preview, paper settings and image rights yourself.

A layout editor, not a video production system

This tool lays out only the text and optional image files that you put into it. It does not generate images or video, animate frames, record audio, create a shooting schedule, estimate a budget, assign crew, determine camera settings, clear locations, or verify who owns an image, character, brand, quotation or piece of dialogue. Treat the board as a working communication aid, then make any production, editorial and legal decisions separately.

Keep scene notes usable

Use one card for one moment the viewer can understand. Start the visual action with a concrete subject and change: “A cyclist stops beside the closed gate” is easier to plan than “the scene becomes tense.” Use the shot label as a shorthand, not as a substitute for the action. If a card needs more than one action, split it into two cards so the sequence remains easy to review on paper.

Reference images can be helpful for framing, colour or location memory, but they are optional. The tool does not alter them, extract them from a video, or check their provenance. Use only material you are entitled to keep and print. Before sharing a board, check whether its notes, dialogue, people or visual references reveal work that should stay private.

Privacy and local storage

Scene text is kept in this page’s browser session storage. Optional images are held in browser-managed local storage so they can remain available while you move through the four-step editor. They are not sent to our servers, added to the page address, uploaded, or sent to an AI or external image service. Browser storage is not a backup: it can be cleared by browser settings, device policies or a reset in this editor. Print or save the board if you need a durable copy, and use Start over when you want the editor to remove the current project’s stored scene data and image records.
