Speaker Test
Play a browser-generated sine tone through the left, right or both output channels, or run an 80–8000 Hz sweep. Start with system volume and the slider low.
Scope and safety
Web Audio creates an oscillator, gain control and stereo panning, then sends them to the browser’s current output. The slider is linear digital gain, not a sound-pressure or decibel reading. Browsers may require a click before audio starts.
This test requests no microphone and records nothing. It can confirm audible output and channel routing, but cannot diagnose a speaker, cable, sound card or hearing. Stop if the tone is uncomfortable; do not use high volume or headphones at an unknown level.
Frequently Asked Questions
Check mute, system volume, selected output and site sound permission, then click Start again.
