How candidates are made

The generator removes punctuation other than letters and numbers, joins multi-part names, and builds candidates from prefixes, suffixes, midpoint cuts, initials, full concatenations and optional shortened-name blends. Balanced, Cute, Fandom and Playful do not use separate name pools; they change the scoring and order of the same candidate patterns.

You can request 10 to 16 ideas. Candidates are deduplicated after case and non-alphanumeric characters are normalized, so short or very similar inputs may produce fewer ideas than requested. The same names and settings produce the same ranked list. No randomness, external name database, uniqueness search, trademark check, social handle check or historical registry is involved.

Names can use Unicode letters and numbers, although vowel-aware cut points recognize only the Latin vowels a e i o u y; other scripts mainly use midpoint cuts. The creative output is derived from the names you type, so it is not a fixed English pool and normally should not be translated. Names and settings are sent to the server through Livewire and included in funnel navigation URLs; avoid sensitive or private names.
