Name tags that are easy to read and easy to print
A name tag is doing a simple job in a busy room: help someone make the first connection without squinting or guessing. Put the name on the first line and reserve the second line for information that helps people start a conversation, such as a team, company, pronouns, table number or volunteer role. Enter one person per line in the form Maya Chen | Product Design. If a tag needs only a name, leave out the vertical bar and the second line.

Use a high-contrast text and background pair, and keep the second line shorter than the name. Very long names, job titles or organization names can make a tag feel crowded even when they technically fit. If your printer offers a labels, heavyweight or cardstock media setting, select the option that matches the material you are feeding.
For a reliable first run, print one test page on plain paper. In the print dialog, use the A4 or US Letter size you selected in the maker and choose actual size or 100% scale rather than a fit-to-page option. Feed adhesive sheets only once, because printing over a used sheet can cause alignment problems or jams. The tool opens your browser print dialog, where you can choose a printer or Save as PDF. The PNG download saves only the sheet currently shown, which is useful for archiving that page or printing it from another app.
