Build alignment you can inspect
A useful lesson plan connects an intended learning result with practice and evidence. Start with an objective that describes something learners can show during the lesson. Then make sure the independent task and assessment actually produce evidence for that objective. The template keeps each part visible; it does not score the alignment or decide whether the lesson is suitable.

Worked teaching example
Suppose the lesson lasts 45 minutes and the objective is to identify the main idea of a short informational paragraph with two supporting details. A brief image discussion can launch the idea of choosing the most important message. During guided practice, the teacher models noticing repeated ideas and the class annotates evidence together. Learners then work on a fresh paragraph independently and compare with a partner. The exit ticket asks for one main idea and one supporting detail from a final paragraph.
That sequence is internally coherent, but it is not automatically right for every class. The reading level, language demands, timing, grouping, assistive access, cultural context, prior knowledge, and safeguarding considerations still require professional review.

Lesson details remain in this tab’s session storage while you move through the four steps. They are not added to funnel URLs, sent in Livewire requests, uploaded, or processed by an AI service. Normal page navigation requests still occur. Closing the tab may clear the saved draft, and browsers that block session storage cannot carry it between funnel pages.
Plain-text copy is convenient for a document or learning platform. Printing uses the browser’s native print dialog, where PDF availability depends on the browser and operating system. The JSON download contains the same 13 fields for local reuse; the tool does not import that file, generate worksheets, attach standards, or submit the plan to a school system.
