Image Cropper
Original: x px
Crop a precise rectangular area from an image by entering its X and Y starting point, width and height. The tool reads the image and creates the PNG entirely in your browser. It accepts files up to 30 MB and images up to 24 megapixels.
How to crop an image
-
1
Choose an image
Select a JPG, PNG, WebP or another image format your browser can decode.
-
2
Enter the crop area
Set X and Y from the top-left corner, then enter the required width and height.
-
3
Create the crop
The coordinates are kept within the source image and the selected rectangle is rendered locally.
-
4
Download the PNG
Review the result and save the cropped image as a PNG file.
Crop by exact pixel coordinates
The coordinate origin is the top-left pixel of the source image. X moves the crop area horizontally and Y moves it vertically. Width and height control the output dimensions.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| X | Pixels from the left edge |
| Y | Pixels from the top edge |
| Width | Number of horizontal pixels to keep |
| Height | Number of vertical pixels to keep |
The initial selection covers half of the source width and half of its height. Values that extend beyond the image are constrained automatically. This tool crops only; it does not resize or enlarge the selected area.
Format and transparency
The download is always a PNG. Transparent pixels are preserved when the browser decodes them from the source. Animated images are not exported as animations.
Privacy
The source image and result remain in your browser. In the multi-step flow, the source is kept temporarily in browser storage for up to 30 minutes so it can move between pageviews. Image bytes and crop coordinates are not placed in the URL or sent to our servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. This cropper uses numeric X, Y, width and height fields. Entering coordinates is useful when you already know the exact pixel rectangle you need.
There are no ratio presets or automatic social-media sizes. Calculate the required width and height, then enter those pixel values directly.
No. The cropped result is exported as PNG, regardless of the source format.
The tool limits X, Y, width and height to the decoded image boundaries, so the result always comes from a valid source rectangle.
