Hashtag Generator

Local hashtag draft

Enter the source text

Paste a caption or enter topic words. The browser ranks repeated terms and adjacent topic pairs; it does not look up trends or search volume.

Review every suggestion before posting. The tool cannot confirm popularity, availability, moderation status or suitability for a platform.

Your source text and hashtags stay in this browser. Funnel mode stores them only in this tab for up to 30 minutes and places only an opaque job ID in the URL. Nothing is sent through Livewire.

Turn the words already present in a topic or caption into a clean hashtag draft. The generator works in your browser, preserves non-Latin writing systems, and ranks only signals it can actually see in the source text. It does not pretend to know search volume, live trends or platform moderation status.

How to create a hashtag draft

  1. 1

    Enter your source text

    Paste a caption, campaign note or list of topic words up to 10,000 characters.

  2. 2

    Set the maximum

    Choose a whole-number limit from 1 to 50 hashtag candidates.

  3. 3

    Review the extracted topics

    Check the source-word and candidate counts, then remove names or unrelated wording from the source if needed.

  4. 4

    Copy and verify

    Copy the generated block and check every tag against the current rules and context of the platform where you will post it.

What this generator does and does not know

The generator segments the source with the browser’s locale-aware word tools where available. This matters for languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Thai, where spaces do not reliably mark every word boundary. It preserves Unicode letters instead of transliterating every result to ASCII.

Candidates come only from:

  • topic words found in the source;
  • adjacent topic-word pairs;
  • repetition and original order within that source.

Common filler words for the active language and purely numeric tokens are skipped. When candidates have equal frequency, an adjacent pair is placed before a single term, then the original text order breaks the tie. The result is deterministic: the same text, language and limit produce the same draft.

No hidden trend database

This tool does not connect to a social network, advertising service or keyword database. It therefore cannot measure:

  • current popularity or search volume;
  • whether a tag is available, restricted or moderated;
  • likely reach, engagement or ranking;
  • whether a suggestion suits a particular audience or platform.

Those limitations are deliberate. A text-based candidate such as #CityWalk may describe a caption accurately, but only the publisher can decide whether it is useful and appropriate.

Check the destination before posting

Rules differ between services and can change. For example, YouTube’s current hashtag help says hashtags contain no spaces, warns against unrelated tags and ignores all hashtags on content that contains more than 60. That is YouTube guidance, not a universal rule for every network.

The word segmentation follows the same general problem described by Unicode Standard Annex #29: word boundaries vary by writing system and language, and dictionary-based tailoring can be needed. Browser results can therefore differ slightly across devices or browser versions. Always read the final tags before using them.

Private processing boundary

On the ordinary page, the source and output stay in browser memory. In the three-step funnel, the source and chosen limit are stored only in the current tab’s session storage for up to 30 minutes. At most three active drafts are retained. The URL contains an opaque random job identifier, never the caption or keywords, and nothing is sent through Livewire.

Frequently Asked Questions

The browser counts usable source terms and adjacent topic pairs. Higher frequency comes first; ties favor a phrase and then its first position in the text. No external popularity score is used.

No. The generator has no trend, search-volume or social-network data. It creates a reviewable draft only from the text you enter.

Yes. It preserves Unicode letters and uses locale-aware browser segmentation when available. Word boundaries can still vary by browser, especially in languages that do not separate every word with spaces.

No. Moderation and availability are live platform facts. Check each final tag in the destination service before posting.

Pure numbers, punctuation-only fragments and a short list of common filler words are omitted. A candidate longer than 80 Unicode characters is also discarded.

The control accepts 1 to 50 candidates, but it is not a recommendation. Choose a manageable draft, then follow the current rules and editorial needs of the platform where you will publish.

No. The caption, candidate list and output are processed in this browser and are not sent through Livewire.

A funnel draft stays only in the current tab for up to 30 minutes. The expiry does not renew, at most three drafts are kept, and closing the tab normally clears session storage.
